Paula Lund, MPT

After working in various settings such as orthopedic outpatient, home health, pediatrics and skilled nursing facility, Paula opened Caribou Physical Therapy in 1997. Her area of expertise include spinal rehab and injuries to hips, knees and shoulders. Paula believes in her profession and is currently on the Idaho PT Assoc. board and is the current chair of the North Idaho PT Assoc. Paula enjoys working with people and this shows with her unique ability to connect with her patients of all ages and backgrounds. She contributes her success to giving quality physical therapy based on research and proven techniques and specifically listening to her patients' needs. An accomplished skier and ex-racer, Paula enjoys her free time playing in the outdoors with her three busy, young boys.

Shelly Young, PTA
2001 graduate from Mt Hood Community College, OR
Assoc. in Science degree, Physical Therapist Assistant
Home town: Sandpoint, Idaho
Shelly worked in Portland for 4 years in an outpatient
setting as head Physical Therapist Assistant. She is well versed in manual therapy, pain management and orthopedic injuries. She has been in several managerial positions including overseeing scheduling and chart auditing of four physical therapists and three physical therapist assistants. Previous to obtaining her PTA degree, Shelly worked for Caribou PT as an aide and later as the office manager and is very resourceful regarding insurance issues. Shelly, husband and little daughter moved back to Sandpoint in 2005, where she got further experience with aquatic therapy, and work hardening. She rejoined Caribou Physical Therapy in 2006 and has been a wonderful addition due to her experienced background and excellent skills as a therapist. |

Cheryl Crandall-Williams, DPT:
2003 graduate of Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ.
Cheryl was recently recruited to Sandpoint from Flaggstaff where she was based in a health club-physical therapy setting. Cheryl is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and personal trainer. She also has experience in home health and skilled nursing facility. She is highly qualified to work with the orthopedic and sports injured client.
Her other experience includes pediatrics and neurological rehabilitation as an instructor for hippo therapy. Cheryl has worked as a lab assistant teaching gross anatomy lab and as a research assistant at NAU. Along with her education and experience, you will find her to be very enthusiastic and personable.

Geri Cole, P.T.

B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Psychology
Geri's experience includes acute care, rehabilitation, rural hospitals, home health, geriatric care facilities, orthopedic clinics and pediatric therapy in the school setting. Geri has been with Caribou since 2003 and works on an on-call basis. When Geri is not in the clinic, she keeps up to date with PT interventions by reading current PT literature. She amazes us with how well informed she is even while being involved with her four kid's busy lives.

Karen McClelland, PT

Home town: Sylmar, California
Karen's work experience includes home health, aquatic therapy, outpatient orthopedics, acute hospital, transitional care unit and skilled nursing facility. Karen moved with her family to Sandpoint June 2005, and started with Caribou Physical therapy that same year. She is very skilled with acute injuries and is a pleasure to work with. Currently on maternity leave with her fourth daughter! |
